Quarterback Bailey Zappe and his wife, Hannah Zappe, make a huge personal announcement.
The Kansas City Chiefs look to remain undefeated when they take on the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football in Week 5.
The Chiefs’ offense is light on receivers and missing their No. 1 running back, but betting against quarterback Patrick Mahomes is never a good idea. While Kansas City tapped Carson Wentz as Mahomes’ main backup quarterback this season, the Chiefs also signed Bailey Zappe following his release from the New England Patriots.
While Zappe won’t be seeing the field any time soon, he’s getting valuable practice time with Mahomes, who’s arguably the best quarterback in the NFL. One day before the Chiefs’ primetime matchup agains the Saints, the 25-year-old and his wife, Hannah Zappe, shared major personal news on Instagram.
The former college sweethearts announced that they’re expecting their first child together on Oct. 6. Hannah captioned the shared post, “First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby Zappe February 2025🩵.”
With the blue heart, the couple seemed to indicated they’re expecting a baby boy. Zappe, drafted by Patriots in the fourth-round of the 2022 NFL Draft tied the knot with Hannah on July 3, 2024 at a secluded lake in Montana. The couple kept things private, and only invited 32 people to their nuptials.
Should the Zappes need any baby advice, they can ask Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, who announced they’re expecting baby No. 3 during the offseason. The three-time Super Bowl MVP and Brittany are expecting a girl.
