Tupac Shakur’s unfortunate passing left the music industry shocked, the talented rapper died at the young age of 25 years. However, just like his life his death too involved a bunch of conspiracy theories and speculations.
For a long time, people were convinced that something behind the scenes caused the Changes singer’s death. On the surface, it looked like he was shot gravely at a drive-by but rumors claimed some big names were allegedly involved. One name repeatedly linked with Shakur’s death was Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. The latter’s response at being questioned about the subject only gave rise to the flames.
Tupac Shakur was once one of the biggest names in the music industry, the rapper had given fans several iconic hits. His abrupt passing on 13 September 1996 surprised both celebrities and fans worldwide.
The Keep Ya Head Up singer was shot fatally in a drive-by incident in Las Vegas. His driver too was injured but sadly the singer succumbed to his wounds and passed away six days later.
This event gave fuel to the speculations that were already surrounding the artist. Previously, he was shot five times during a robbery at Quad Studios in New York City in 1994. At that time allegations were made against some big names in the industry.
Later, a gang leader named Duane ‘Keefe D’ Davis was arrested on the charges of the Hit Em Up singer’s murder. According to PEOPLE Davis was supposedly the one who organized the hit but he pleaded not guilty.
Not only did he not confess to the murder, but he also called out another big name in the music industry. Davis claimed that Sean Combs, aka Diddy (at that time known as Puffy) was unhappy with the late rapper.
Shakur’s car that night was driven by Death Row Records boss Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, whom Davis also mentioned in his claim. In the report by PEOPLE, the suspect claimed that Combs had allegedly confessed his dislike for Shakur to Knight.
I’d give anything for that dude[‘s] head.
He went on to restate the accusation multiple times, even going as far as to claim that Diddy allegedly organized the hit. Davis claimed he was paid $1 million to get rid of both Knight and Shakur that night.

Sean Combs has never been considered a suspect in the Tupac Shakur homicide investigation.
However, authorities claimed that the allegations were mere hoaxes and had no legitimate basis. After many years, a video of Diddy being questioned about the incident has resurfaced on social media.
We don’t talk about things that are nonsense. We don’t even entertain nonsense, my brother.
