Although it can’t go underwater like a submarine, the Tesla Cybertruck’s ability to overcome flooded areas is truly impressive.
The Tesla Cybertruck is very different from your average pickup truck. It’s an electric pickup truck with sharp, angular lines, a controversial look, and Elon Musk claims it can handle any terrain, even water. But how does it perform underwater? One YouTuber decided to find out with a crazy test of his Cybertruck.
YouTuber Taras Maksimuk, better known as TechRax, is famous for destroying tech devices in either creative or horrifying ways. He smashed an iPhone with a hammer, melted a Samsung Galaxy phone with lava, and shot a laptop with a gun. So when he got his hands on a Cybertruck, it was no surprise that he would do something crazy with it.

TechRax has been teasing his Cybertruck experiments for a while, but he recently uploaded a video of the water tests. In the video, he drives the Cybertruck through different puddles, some so deep that they cover most of the vehicle. He also activated the Cybertruck’s Wade Mode, which is said to help the vehicle move through water.
The results are very impressive. The Cybertruck had no problem driving through water, even when nearly submerged. It’s like a submarine with wheels or a boat with a truck bed. TechRax even joked that he was testing Elon Musk’s “Boat Mode,” something the Tesla CEO once hinted at on Twitter.
Of course, this is not a scientific test, and no one in their right mind would recommend trying this at home. Driving through water can cause damage to your vehicle and be dangerous for you and others. But it shows that the Cybertruck is a powerful and versatile machine that can handle extreme situations.
This is not the first time Tesla has shown off its ability to cross water. In the past, there have been videos of Teslas driving through flooded streets in China, where the cars are manufactured at the Giga Shanghai factory. These videos have amazed and delighted social media users, who have praised Tesla for its performance and durability.
Tesla’s Cybertruck has emerged as a controversial vehicle, attracting both enthusiastic fans and skeptical critics. It has been hailed by some as a revolution in pickup truck design, while others see it as a testament to Elon Musk’s penchant for style over substance.
Tesla implemented a steer-by-wire system that not only added to the car’s futuristic look but also improved its maneuverability. This advanced technology addressed concerns raised by critics about the original steering wheel design in the Model S Plaid. Videos showcasing the Cybertruck’s steer-by-wire system show impressive handling, demonstrating Tesla’s engineering mastery in seamlessly blending style and function.
Notably, Tesla’s adoption of a 48-volt electrical architecture in the Cybertruck is a major development for the auto industry. This new system outperforms conventional 12-volt systems by providing power more efficiently, allowing it to handle higher electrical loads with smaller cables.
However, a series of innovations appearing on the Cybertruck are also causing it to encounter many problems. Not only were there a series of complaints from those who received the cars early, but Tesla itself also had to recall a large number of these Cybertruck cars to repair defective parts. Obviously being a pioneer is not always smooth sailing.
