Kate Middleton announced she had been diagnosed with cancer back in March and has since been undergoing treatment, with a source now providing a new update
Kate Middleton is “feeling so much stronger” after undergoing treatment for cancer, according to a source.
The Princess of Wales took a step back from royal duties to focus on her health after announcing she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer back in March. She has been undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment.
Kate has since made a slow return to the public eye and was seen enjoying the Trooping of the Colour with her family as well as a trip to Wimbledon with her daughter. A source has now explained Kate is feeling “healthier”, but is feeling mixed emotions as she prepares for an emotional moment.
Kate Middleton ‘conflicted’ over new plans for her children as she undergoes cancer treatment Kate Middleton has devastating wish for Prince William amid frosty reunion with Harry “It’s kind of a bittersweet time for her, she always gets emotional over back to school because it’s a new milestone for her kids and more proof of how fast they’re growing up,” the source explained. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will soon be busy at school, giving Kate “a lot more time to focus on work again.”
The source further claimed Kate is “looking forward to getting away” from things revolving so much around medical procedures and doctors’ visits. Speaking to Life & Style, they added: “Ideally, she’d like to be back to her old schedule, but it’s going to take time for her to get there.”
The source said Kate has been encouraged to take things “slow and steady.” Kate has issued several statements about her cancer diagnosis. “I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she told fans earlier this year. “On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting.
“But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well. My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.”
Kate said she knows she isn’t “out of the woods yet”. She added: “I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal. Thank you so much for your continued understanding, and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me.”
