Todd Bowles is a good-natured chap, but even he couldn’t help but embarrass a reporter at a press conference this week.
Bowles, who has coached the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to an unexpected divisional round spot, will face another tough challenge as his Bucs are set to travel to Detroit to play the Lions at Ford Field this coming Sunday.
Given the harsh weather conditions that have affected certain NFL games in the playoffs, more so the Dolphins-Chiefs and Steelers-Bills, a reporter was concerned about the elements possibly impacting the upcoming NFC clash between the Bucs and Lions.
As it turns out, her concerns were misplaced as the game will be played indoors. So things got awkward when she asked Bowles about his plans for the weather and he pointed out that he didn’t need to make any.
Check out the exchange below:
Oh no… A reporter asked #Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles about how the team is preparing to get acclimated to the weather in Detroit ahead of Sunday’s game.

You get to ask the coach one question. And that’s the question? 🤣 pic.twitter.com/SO7sbrU8HR

Sunday you’ll be facing lions. These are notoriously dangerous beasts weighing up to 450 pounds. How are you preparing for this tilt?

Savage…
Anyhoo, the Bucs will play the Lions at 4:00 PM ET on Sunday. There are zero weather concerns as it pertains to what’s actually taking place at the venue.
